Plan Features
Medical Expenses and Personal Accident Coverage

Winter and Water Sports Coverage

  • The mobile app is free of charge, but normal banking and transaction charges may apply when you conduct transactions via the app. Please refer to the Bank's service charges for details. In addition, customer is responsible for any fees and charges which may be levied by the relevant telecommunication service provider from time to time. For any queries about the charges for internet access, please contact your mobile network service provider.
  • The mobile app can be accessed via the network of any local or overseas telecommunications service provider through their 2G, 3G, HSDPA, 4G or Wi-Fi service. However, you must have a mobile internet service plan and a handset that can support Internet access. Access to the Internet may also involve set-up procedures on your handset for certain fixed IP SIM cards. Please check with your telecommunication service provider for the details and up-to-date instructions. The connection speed may vary for different telecommunication service providers, different data usage plans, and different geographical locations. Notes:
  1. The maximum claim of Medical Expenses and Personal Accident Coverage is HKD600,000 (Single Trip Cover - Area 1^) and HKD1,000,000 (Single Trip Cover – Area 2^ & Area 3^). For an Insured Person aged under 18 (on the day of death), the accidental death benefit will be limited to HKD100,000.
  2. If the scheduled aircraft, sea vessel, or train’s departure or arrival is delayed for at least 6 hours, the compensation is HKD250 for the first 6 hours of delay, and HKD200 for every 8 hours thereafter, subject to a maximum claim of HKD2,000. Reimbursement for the irrecoverable loss of pre-paid or reasonable and necessary additional expenses incurred for hotel accommodation in the event of travel delay outside Hong Kong for more than 24 consecutive hours, is up to a maximum amount of HKD1,000 per Insured Person.
  3. This benefit is only applicable to the Travelsure Protection Plan Single Trip Cover – Area 2^ and Area 3^. If the Insured Person rents or hires a rental vehicle during the Journey which is involved in a collision whilst under his/ her control or the rental vehicle is stolen or damaged and the rental agreement includes an insurance excess (or deductible or similar condition), the Insured Person will be reimbursed, according to the Policy, the insurance excess paid for the above described loss or damage to such rental vehicle, up to a maximum of HKD5,000. This benefit shall be payable only once per Journey. The Insured Person must take relevant comprehensive motor vehicle insurance provided by the rental organization against loss or damage to the rental vehicle during the rental period.
  4. The maximum amount recoverable for each mobile telecommunication device is HKD1,500 (Single Trip Cover - Area 1^) and HKD3,000 (Single Trip Cover – Area 2^ & Area 3^).
  5. Sports activities include: Water Sports – swimming, snorkeling, wind surfing, water surfing, water skiing, parasailing, banana boat trip, water motorcycling, rafting, canoeing, boating or kayaking, sailing, cruising, fishing on boat or yacht, and sliding in licensed water park. Winter Sports – skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, sledding, snow motorcycling and ice skating.

The above general insurance plan ("Plan") is underwritten by QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited ("QBE GIHK") which is authorised and regulated in Hong Kong by the Insurance Authority. Hang Seng Bank Limited ("Hang Seng Bank") is an insurance agent authorised by QBE GIHK for the distribution of this Plan. Premiums will be payable to QBE GIHK upon application for this Plan. QBE GIHK will provide Hang Seng Bank with commission and performance bonus as remuneration for distribution of this Plan. The existing staff remuneration policy on sales offered by Hang Seng Bank takes into account various aspects of the staff performance instead of focusing solely on the sales amount.

In respect of an eligible dispute arising between the Hang Seng Bank and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, Hang Seng Bank is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the product should be resolved directly between QBE GIHK and the customer.
