General Terms and Conditions:

  • The promotion period is from 3 October 2017 to 30 November 2017 (the “Promotion Period”).
  • All the offers are not applicable to commercial customers, employees of Hang Seng Bank Limited ("the Bank") or any party who are enjoying staff offers of the Bank.
  • The Bank reserves the right to suspend, vary or terminate this promotion and the relevant offers at any time and to amend the relevant terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice. The decision of the Bank on all matters relating to this promotion and the relevant offers shall be final and binding on all parties concerned. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
  • No person other than the Eligible Customers and the Bank (which includes its successors and assigns) will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provision of these terms and conditions.
  • These terms and conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  • These terms and conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirements.
  • In case of any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.

    • Eligible customers will be entitled to a premium discount in the first policy year as shown below upon successful application of designated life insurance plan reaches a designated level of annualized premium amount During Promotion Period:

    • If customer selects US Dollar as the policy currency, annual premium waiver for the first policy year will be determined by multiplying the Hong Kong Dollar premium payment by 8. If a customer selects RMB as the policy currency (only applicable to HarvestLife (RMB) Life Insurance Plan and SavourLife II (RMB) Annuity Life Insurance Plan), the applicable annualized premium in Hong Kong Dollar for calculating the premium discount in the first policy year will be determined by multiplying the RMB premium payment by 1.25.
    • Unless otherwise specified, premium waiver offer cannot be used in conjunction with other premium waiver offer(s).

  2. Completion of “Personal Customer Insurance and Financial Needs Analysis Form” – Terms and conditions of HKD200 cash coupons:
    • Eligible customers are required to complete a Personal Customer Insurance and Financial Needs Analysis Form in any of our branches of the Bank for enjoying HKD200 cash coupons. Each eligible customer can only enjoy HKD200 cash coupons once in the promotion period.
    • Cash coupon(s) available while stocks last. In the case of shortage, the Bank and Hang Seng Insurance reserves the right to replace the cash coupon(s) with another item. The value and nature of the replacement item may differ from the original cash coupon(s).
    • Cash coupon(s) cannot be exchanged for cash or other products, services or offers, and may subject to the relevant merchant’s terms of use.
    • Cash coupon(s) will be not re-issued in case of loss, damage or unused after expiry date.
    • Neither the Bank nor Hang Seng Insurance are the supplier of the Voucher and are not responsible for all related obligations and liabilities. In case of disputes, customers should deal with the respective supplier directly.
    • The Bank and Hang Seng Insurance reserve the right of final decision on all matters relating to the offers, which shall be binding on all parties concerned.

  3. Terms and Conditions of the Health Insurance Schemes' offers via online or phone application:
    • The relevant contract must be successfully approved and effective on or before 1 February 2018.
    • This promotion is only applicable to the Health Insurance Schemes under Hang Seng Bupa PreciousHealth Series, including Essential Health Insurance Scheme (“Essential”), Excel Health Insurance Scheme (“Excel”), Excel Plus Health Insurance Scheme (“Excel Plus”) under Hang Seng Bupa PreciousHealth Series (the “Relevant Schemes”). The Bank and Bupa (Asia) Limited (“Bupa”) reserve the right to make final decisions on the application of the Relevant Schemes.
    • The offers are applicable to customers of the Bank who have successfully applied for the Relevant Schemes as subscribers via online application through Hang Seng e-banking or phone application through Hang Seng Bupa Medical Insurance Hotline 2998 9886 (Please refer to the plans of application via online or phone ("selected sales channels")) during the Promotion Period, and not applicable to existing subscribers for the Relevant Schemes. The offers are applicable to personal customers and corporate customers, and not applicable to any party who enjoys staff privileges of the Bank.
    • Within the Promotion Period, each customer who has successfully applied for the Relevant Schemes through selected sales channels will enjoy the 8% First Year Premium Rebate (“Premium Rebate”):

    • The signing date of the “Relevant Schemes” in the application form must fall within the Promotion Period.
    • The offers cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions offers. The offers are not applicable to customers who have cancelled the Relevant Schemes within 6 months prior to the Promotion Period or existing subscribers of the Health Insurance Schemes under Hang Seng Bupa PreciousHealth Series.
    • The Premium Rebate is given out according to the relevant scheme subscribed by each first-time subscriber. The Premium Rebate is applicable to the premium amount of “Hospital and Surgical Benefit” for the first year. The amount of discount will be calculated based on the net premium paid.
    • The relevant contract must be successfully approved and effective on or before 1 February 2018, its cooling-off period (within 21 days of the effective date of the contract of the “Relevant Schemes” ) stated in the contract is over and the contract is still in force when the Premium Rebate is given.
    • The Premium Rebate will be rebated in cash and credited to the Bank account (the “bank account”) of the policyholder as stated in the policy application form for claims reimbursement, without giving any prior notice. The bank account must be valid at the time of the Premium Rebate is paid. The Premium Rebate will be calculated based on the net premium paid of “Hospital and Surgical Benefit” for the first year. The timeline for the Premium Rebate will be different in accordance with annual or semi-annual payment mode.

    • If the customer apply for family subscription on “Excel” or “Excel Plus”, both family discount and Premium Rebate shall be entitled. Family subscription discount is only applicable to hospital and surgical benefit. You will enjoy 10% and 15% discounts for joint application of two and three or more family members respectively.
    • If subscribers have received the Premium Rebate, and subsequently cancel the relevant contracts within 12 months after contracts’ effective date, the Bank reserves the right to deduct the amount equivalent to the value of the Premium Rebate from any accounts of the customer maintained with the Bank without giving any prior notice.
    • The Premium Rebate cannot be exchanged for cash or replaced by other gifts.
    • The Bank and Bupa reserve the right to suspend, vary or terminate the relevant offers and to amend the relevant terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The value and nature of the replacement item may differ from the original Premium Rebate. The decision of the Bank and Bupa on all matters relating to the relevant offers shall be final and binding on all parties concerned. In case of any disputes, the decisions of the Bank and Bupa shall be final.
    • The above information is a product summary of information for reference only. The Relevant Schemes are underwritten by Bupa which is authorized and regulated by the Insurance Authority in Hong Kong. The Bank is an insurance agent authorised by Bupa for the exclusive distribution of the above schemes. Subscription will be payable to Bupa upon enrolment of Relevant Schemes. Bupa would provide the Bank the relevant commission and performance bonus in accordance to the selling of Relevant Schemes. The existing sales staff remuneration policy offered by the Bank would take into account various aspects of the staff performance but not solely on the sales amount. In respect of an eligible dispute arising between the the Bank and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, the Bank is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute over the contractual terms or performance (claims and service) of the product should be resolved directly between Bupa and the customer. HealthPro Concierge Service is provided by Bupa.

  4. Terms and conditions of $200 Cash Dollars offers:
    • This offer is only applicable to the selected customers of the Integrated Account of Prestige Banking (“Prestige Banking”) (“Eligible Customers”).
    • $200 Cash Dollars will be rewarded to Eligible Customers who enrol the Essential Health Insurance Scheme and Excel Health Insurance Scheme via Hang Seng Personal e-Banking or Hang Seng Bupa medical insurance hotline and Excel Plus Health Insurance Scheme via Hang Seng Bupa medical insurance hotline during Promotion Period.
    • In case the relevant Prestige Banking is a joint-named account, only the primary account holder can enjoy the offer.
    • Eligible Customers can get a maximum of $200 Cash Dollars once only.
    • Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars (“Cash Dollars”) will be credited to the Hang Seng Prestige World Mastercard account of each Eligible Customer. If an Eligible Customer does not have a Hang Seng Prestige World Mastercard, the Cash Dollars will be credited to the Hang Seng Credit Card account with the highest Cash Dollars balance. If an Eligible Customer has one or more than one Hang Seng Credit Card account with an outstanding Advance Cash Dollars balance, the Cash Dollars will be credited into such Credit Card account with the highest outstanding Advance Cash Dollars balance at that time. Eligible Customer who does not have any applicable Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Card can make enquiries to the Bank and apply for one. The application must be successfully approved one month before the crediting of the relevant Cash Dollars in order to be eligible for the Cash Dollars offer. If the application for the credit card is not approved, the Eligible Customer will not be offered any Cash Dollars. Upon the crediting of the Cash Dollars, the relevant Credit Card account must still be valid and with a good credit record. The offer is not applicable to any Hang Seng Supplementary Card, Business Card, Commercial Card, USD Visa Gold Card, UnionPay RMB Diamond Commercial Card, Renminbi Credit Card, Spending Card, e-shopping Mastercard, or Private Label Card. The Cash Dollars cannot be transferred or converted into cash. The use of Cash Dollars is subject to the terms and conditions of the Hang Seng Credit Card Membership Rewards Programme.     • The Bank will credit the Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars (“Cash Dollars”) that Eligible Customers can earn to their eligible Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Cards on or before 31 May 2018.
    • If Eligible Customers cancel the insurance plan/scheme within 12 months from the date of receiving the Cash Dollars, the Bank reserves the right to deduct the amount from the Eligible Customer's account at the Bank which is equivalent to the amount of Cash Dollars without prior notice to customers.
    • Prestige Banking must remain valid and Eligible Customer shall hold the insurance plan/scheme (as mentioned above) at the time the offers are being rewarded. If by then Eligible Customers have terminated the relevant Prestige Banking or transferred to other banking account other than Prestige Banking or cancel the insurance plan/scheme (as mentioned above), the Bank reserves the right to deduct from any account(s) of the Eligible Customers maintained with the Bank for the amount equivalent to the value of the rewards without prior notice.
