Note:

1. Up to HKD1 million coverage of household contents protection is only applicable to premium plan. Household Contents are furniture, fixtures and fittings, interior decoration, household goods, Personal Effects, the property of the Insured including the interior decoration made by the previous home owners for which he is legally responsible or the property of the Insured's Family Members permanently residing with him, but excluding the interior decoration, fixtures and fittings provided by developer. Compensation will be based on the purchase value of a replacement (except clothing and footwear).
2. Excess for water damage to Household Contents : For buildings 41 years old or above, an excess of HKD5,000 or 10% of the assessed loss (whichever is higher) will be deducted from the claim amount.
3. Up to HKD300,000 valuables limit is only applicable to premium plan.
4. The necessary and reasonable cost of comparable alternative accommodation and/or food costs incurred by you for your Pet(s) which is(are) normally residing with you in Hong Kong, when your Home is rendered Uninhabitable due to loss or damage covered by this Policy. The maximum claim of premium plan is HKD2,000/day in respect of each Accident.
5. QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited (“QBE GIHK”) will pay for the loss of or damage to the Insured’s Household Contents stored away from Home at work situation or any situation owned, occupied or rented by the Insured and Family Members (including storage facility) within Hong Kong arising out of
   • fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, riot and civil commotion;
   • storm, flood, malicious acts or vandalism, escape of water or oil or collision where the Household Contents are situated in the building at the time of loss or damage;
   • theft or burglary from any building provided that force is shown to be used to enter the building;
   • robbery or theft while the Household Contents are being carried or worn
   Subject to QBE GIHK’s maximum Limit of Indemnity shall not exceed 10% of the Sum Insured of Household Contents as specified in the Policy Schedule if stated, or in the Sum Insured Table that corresponds to the Plan and the situation is not in the declined list of buildings which can be insured by QBE GIHK.
6. If the total value of the contract works is more than HKD500,000 or the aggregate contract period is longer than 90 consecutive days, the policyholder must notify QBE GIHK in writing before the decoration or renovation begins. QBE GIHK reserves the right to charge an additional premium and apply special excess items.
7. 26% first-year premium discount includes the 20% first year premium discount and the one-month premium waiver in the first policy year (applicable to both yearly and monthly premium payment method; the third month’s premium will be waived for the monthly premium payment method).

The above general insurance plans (“Plans”) are underwritten by QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited (“QBE GIHK”) which is authorised and regulated in Hong Kong by the Insurance Authority. Hang Seng Bank Limited (“Hang Seng Bank”) is an insurance agent authorised by QBE GIHK for the distribution of these Plans. Premiums will be payable to QBE GIHK upon application of these Plans. QBE GIHK would provide Hang Seng Bank with commission and performance bonus as remuneration for distribution of these Plans. The existing staff remuneration policy on sales offered by Hang Seng Bank takes into account various aspects of the staff performance instead of focusing solely on the sales amount.

In respect of an eligible dispute arising between the Hang Seng Bank and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, Hang Seng Bank is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the product should be resolved directly between QBE GIHK and the customer.
