All our procurement is done on a competitive bidding basis and we always treat suppliers in a transparent and    fair    way.  We   also   have   strict   policies    and

procedures governing staff conduct when handling procurement matters.

We make use of e-procurement systems to achieve electronic management of the purchasing cycle, streamline the ordering process and reduce paper consumption.

We have clear policies and guidelines for selecting contractors to ensure they can provide services in full compliance with our requirements. Our tender documents request any potential new suppliers to complete a questionnaire covering environmental issues such as their established environmental management system, ISO accreditation, etc., as part of the tender evaluation process.

All potential new suppliers must also undergo an assessment that evaluates environmental performance, health and safety, and equal opportunities. If necessary, an on-site supplier visit will be requested.

We encourage our suppliers and contractors to use or offer more environmentally friendly or recycled products whenever possible.
