Hang Seng Bank Hong Kong Scholarships
The
Bank has awarded over 70 scholarships annually
to undergraduate students at 11 local
tertiary institutions since 1995.
|
To encourage and recognise young people with outstanding commitment to community service, starting from the 2008/09 academic year, the Bank has awarded community scholarship to selected undergraduate students who have contributed a minimum of 100 hours of recognised voluntary service in the previous 12 months.

Seng also offers eight scholarships to
students from mainland China to study
full-time undergraduate programmes at
tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. |
Hang Seng Bank Mainland Scholarships
Every
year, Hang Seng offers scholarships to
120 Mainland undergraduate and postgraduate
students. The scholarship recipients
are selected from 18 Mainland universities.

Ming Pao Student Reporter Programme
| To encourage secondary students to nurture social sense and improve their language skills, the Bank has sponsored the Ming Pao Student Reporter Programme since 1999, benefiting nearly 6,000 students.

Leaders to Leaders Lecture Series
| Organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and The University of Hong Kong, the Bank has suppported the series for the first time this year. Hong Kong youngsters will have the opportunity to participate in face-to-face dialogue and share ideas with 10 outsanding community leaders who are highly knowledgeable about the development of the Society.

the Competition since 1995.

Hang
Seng Bank -- Help the Police Fight Youth Crime
Competition
| This
biennial Competition is organised by
the Hong Kong Police Force and sponsored
by Hang Seng Bank with the aim of enhancing
young people's vigilance against crime.
A record number of over 140,000 entries
were received in 2010. The Bank has sponsored
the Competition since 1994.

Protect Yourself from Crime and Predators On-line Video Competition
| To raise youngsters' awareness of on-line crime and to encourage youth to pursue a healthy lifestyle. The Bank supports a video competition bearing the theme "Protect Yourself from Crime and Predators On-line" in 2009 organised by Fight Crime Committee.

Support Programmes for Children with Specific Learning Disabilities
| The Bank has sponsored The Pathways Foundation’s support programmes for children with specific learning disabilities since 2007. An Inspiration Day was also organised with the objectives to enhance public awareness of specific learning disabilities and encourage children with such disabilities to showcase their talents.
