Community Service

Since 1998, we have given over HKD200 million in charitable donations and community sponsorships, including HKD22 million in 2007. Since 1991, we have given over HKD25 million to support table tennis development in Hong Kong. This includes our sponsorship of the Hang Seng Table Tennis Academy, which since its establishment in 2001 has helped more than113,000 participants enhance their sporting skills.
In 2006, our Staff Volunteer Team gave over 9,000 hours of their time to participate in a wide spectrum of voluntary projects. Activities organised included tree-planting in Ma On Shan Country Park, mooncake making and hairdressing services for the elderly, and a Christmas party for chronically ill children.
