Documentary Credit Advising & Confirmation

With a strong worldwide correspondent bank network and trade services team, we provide fast and reliable documentary credit advising services. To reduce the credit risk and country risk of the documentary credit issuing bank, you may also ask your buyer to arrange with his banker to issue a documentary credit through us with a confirmation request.

·	We will advise you within one day after receipt of documentary credit from the issuing bank

Documentary Credit Transfer

We will issue a transferred documentary credit on your behalf with terms and conditions that mirror the master documentary credit from your buyer, even you have not arranged any banking facilities with us. You can cover your payment to the supplier after receipts of proceeds under a transferable documentary credit.

Export Finance

Packing Loan/ Order Packing Loan

To finance your pre-shipment activities, we can provide you with:

·	a Packing Loan of up to 80% of the amount of your export documentary credit; or
·	an Order Packing Loan of up to 70% of the amount of a firm purchase order from your buyer

You will receive:

·	loan proceeds paid to you on the date of application
·	working capital to fulfil the order and expand your business
·	our professional advice on the documentary credit requirements before shipment to ensure prompt documentary credit payment

We will process and/or negotiate or discount your bills after your shipment.

ECIC Export Finance

In our continuing quest to provide the best financing solutions for exporters, we have introduced an export finance scheme supported by credit insurance policies of the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation (ECIC).

If you assign your claimed benefits from ECIC to us, we can offer export bill (documents against acceptance or documents against payment) discounting facilities to you of up to 100% of your claimed benefits.

Export Ease

Hang Seng offers you Export Ease - a one-stop export trade financing and credit insurance service that offers convenience, flexibility and cost savings.

We can arrange ECIC export credit insurance on your shipments under documents against payment (D/P) or documents against acceptance (D/A) terms, and on an open account basis with us as the policy holder. We can finance up to the limit approved by the ECIC.

It is not necessary to have your whole export portfolio insured by the ECIC. You are free to choose certain buyers for ECIC insurance to save insurance premium costs.
