For online bill payment with credit card, the payment must be used to settle wholly or partially an underlying genuine debt due to the payee (the "Debt"). The Cardholder is required to provide evidence thereof if so requested by Hang Seng. Hang Seng reserves the right to decline generating Cash Dollars, or to cancel the Cash Dollars generated, for any payment which Hang Seng suspects not be used to settle the Debt. |

Effective from 25 November 2005 (4:30pm), online bill payment transactions for Inland Revenue Department (including all forward payment instructions with a payment date of 26 November 2005 or later) completed using a Hang Seng Credit Card will not earn Cash Dollars. |

How can I enjoy the Credit

To
enjoy the service, you must have a personal Hang Seng
Credit Card (not applicable to e-shopping MasterCard,
USD VISA Gold Card, Spending Card and Private Label Card) and have registered for Hang Seng Personal e-Banking.
Before paying bills online, please note the following
points:
After completing the above arrangements, you will be
able to use the online bill payment service. You can
log on to e-Banking, choose "Account Services", "Bill Payment" and follow the instructions to make
the payment.

For both "Pay Now"and
"Forward Date" instructions,
please note that the respective
credit limit will be held

Is
there any limit for bill payment
amount with credit card? |

The
maximum daily bill payment limit is HKD500,000 and is
also subject to your available credit card limit. There
is also a daily payment limit for different category
of bills, please check details in Personal e-Banking,
(Customer Services > Account Maintenance > Transfer / Bill Payment Limit).
For payment to Banking and Credit Card merchants, the
default transfer limit is HK$0 and you are required to
register the respective bill account number(s) at any
Hang Seng Bank branches in person. To increase your transfer
limit and register bill account number(s) under the category
of Banking and Credit Card, please download the "e-Banking
Daily Limit Maintenance Form" and the
"e-Banking Bill Payment Registration / Amendment Form", complete and return the forms
to any of our branches.
To reduce the transfer limit, simply do it online from
the aforesaid webpage.

How
can I increase my credit card
limit? |

You
can do so by completing and submitting the "Request
for Increase in Credit Card Limit Form"* in Personal
e-Banking (Select "Credit Cards" >
"Other Related Services" from the service menu).
The request must be submitted by the Principal Card
Holder. We will inform you of the results within next
working days # by phone / e-mail.

A
Payee List is a list of paper
bill accounts to which you
wish to make payment regularly.
You may set up your own payee
list online by selecting "New Payee"and
after paying the paper bill,
your own online payee list*
will be established automatically. For payees under the Banking and Credit Card Services, you are required to register the bill account number(s) at any Hang Seng Bank branches in person.
* If the bill
account number is not a fixed
account number, it will not
be recorded in your payee
list. |
