Hang Seng Prestige Banking Promotion Terms & Conditions:
1. The offers are only applicable to customers who meet the account opening requirements and have newly opened/upgraded to an Integrated Account of Prestige Banking at Hang Seng Bank Limited (the "Bank") during the period from 19 February to 17 May 2008 ("Promotion Period") (excluding (a) existing customers who are holding the sole-named or joint-named Integrated Account of Prestige Banking; (b) customers who have closed any Integrated Account of Prestige Banking with the Bank within the period of 19 August 2007 and 18 February 2008; or (c) those whose accounts have been terminated in any periods, unless otherwise specified) ("the Eligible Customers").

If customers newly open/upgrade more than one Integrated Account of Prestige Banking, including the sole-named or joint-named account, during the Promotion Period, the calculation of welcome premium will be based on the Integrated Account of Prestige Banking with the earliest account opening date.
2. First-year Monthly Fee Waiver for Integrated Account of Prestige Banking
To enjoy the first-year monthly fee waiver for Integrated Account of Prestige Banking, customers must maintain a monthly Total Relationship Balance of HKD500,000 or above for Integrated Account of Prestige Banking during the first year monthly fee waiver period. If the Total Relationship Balance falls below HKD500,000, a HKD340 monthly fee will be applied. After the first 12-month monthly fee waiver period, the standard monthly fee for Prestige Banking will be charged if the Total Relationship Balance is below HKD1,000,000. The Total Relationship Balance is the monthly aggregate balance of the daily average of all deposits, statement gold, securities, investment funds, utilised overdraft facilities, credit card cash advances, outstanding balance of personal loans and the accumulated premiums paid for the designated life insurance plans distributed by Hang Seng Bank as an agent as well as Hang Seng MPF balance. For sole name Integrated Account holders, their other joint name account(s) will also be included.
3. Welcome Premium
(i) $600 Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars rewards
To enjoy $600 Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars rewards(“Cash Dollars”), Eligible Customers are required to newly open/upgrade to an Inetgratred Account of PrestigeBanking at branches, through phone banking hotline or Hang Seng Personal e-Banking and set up a 3-month AUD/NZD/HKDTime Deposit(s) with New Funds* at the above-said Integrated Account of Prestige Banking at branches during the Promotion Period. The total Time Deposit amount should be at least HKD1,000,000 or its equivalent. Eligible Customers can set up one or more AUD/NZD/HKD Time Deposit with tenor of 3-month for the Time Deposit Amount required. The minimum amount of AUD and NZD Time Deposit is HKD50,000 equivalent while the minimum amount of HKD Time Deposit is HKD500,000.
(ii) $250 Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars rewards
To enjoy $250 Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars rewards, Eligible Customer are required to newly open/upgrade to an Inetgratred Account of Prestige Banking at branches, through phone banking hotline or Hang Seng Personal e-Banking and set up a 3-month AUD/NZD/HKD Time Deposit(s) with New Funds* at the above-said Integrated Account of Prestige Banking at branches during the Promotion Period. The total Time Deposit amount should be at least HKD500,000 or its equivalent. Eligible Customers can set up one or more AUD/NZD/HKD Time Deposit with tenor of 3-month for the Time Deposit Amount required. The minimum amount of AUD and NZD Time Deposit is HKD50,000 equivalent while the minimum amount of HKD Time Deposit is HKD500,000.
(iii) Customers are not entiltled to the $600 Cash Dollars and $250 Cash Dollars simultaneously. Each Eligible Customer can enjoy either one of the above Welcome Premium once only. The Welcome Premium will be offered according to the accumulated total Time Deposit amount set up by the Eligible Customers during the Promotion Period. The offer is not transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with other time deposit offers.
(iv) $600 Cash Dollars/$250 Cash Dollars will be credited to Prestige Banking Platinum Card principal account of Eligible Customer on or before 30 June 2008. In case of joint-name account, only the primary account holder is eligible to enjoy the offer. Upon crediting the Cash Dollars, the relevant Prestige Banking Platinum Card account must still be valid and with a good credit record, and the Eligible Customer should also still carry the relevant Integrated Account of Prestige Banking and a Time Deposit (if any). Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Integrated Account of Prestige Banking offer. Cash Dollar rewards cannot be transferred or converted into cash. The use of Cash Dollars is subject to the terms and conditions of the Hang Seng Credit Card Membership Rewards Programme. If the customer does not have Prestige Banking Platinum Card during the Promotion Period, the customer must apply for Prestige Banking Platinum Card and the card must be approved on or before 31 May 2008 in order to enjoy Cash Dollars reward. Otherwise, the Bank reserves the right to replace the Cash Dollars offer with a merchant coupon of an equivalent value. If customers terminate the above-said account and Time Deposit within the first 6 months upon opening an Integrated Account of Prestige Banking, the Bank reserves the right to deduct from any accounts of the customers maintained with the Bank an amount equivalent to the offer value of the Cash Dollars without prior notice to customers.

* "New Funds" refer to AUD, NZD or HKD newly deposited into the Bank using a cheque drawn on any other bank, inward CHATS or T/T during the Promotion Period, thereby increasing the aggregate deposits placed by the customer with the Bank. Please contact our staff to confirm whether the funds are considered as qualified "new funds" for the purposes of this promotional offer. In case of any dispute in relation to the definition of "new funds", the Bank reserves the right of final decision.
4. Preferential AUD/NZD/HKD Time Deposit Interest Rate offer
The preferential interest rate is quoted on 30 April 2008 and is used for reference only. During the Promotion Period, Customers are eligible to enjoy a preferential interest rate of Board Rate +1.4% for placing time deposit in AUD or NZD with a amount of HKD50,000 to HKD5,000,0000 or its equivalent with a tenor of 3 month.

Customers are eligible to enjoy a preferential interest rate for placing time deposit with a tenor of 3 months with a new fund of HKD500,000 to HKD3,000,000. The relevant interest rate will be subject to the rate quoted by the Bank from time to time. The offer is not applicable to the renewal of time deposits in the designated currencies.
“New Fund” refers to AUD or NZD or HKD newly deposited into the Bank using a cheque drawn on any other bank, inward CHATS or T/T during the Promotion Period, thereby increasing the aggregate deposits placed by the customer with the Bank. For clarification of the definition of ‘New Fund’, please contact our bank staff. In case of any disputes in relation to the definition of ‘New Fund’, the decision of the Bank shall be final. Before making the relevant transaction, please check with our staff for the effective rates of the transaction. Interest rates are subject to review according to changes in market conditions from time to time. The Bank reserves the right to change the above interest rates and exchange rate offers at any time. The offer is not transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with other time deposit offers.
5. Newly set up an Auto-Payroll Service to enjoy up to $600 Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars Rewards
(i) This offer is only applicable to customers who have not set up an Auto-Payroll instruction under any Hang Seng Bank account between 1 May 2007 and 31 October 2007. Applicable Hang Seng Bank accounts include single and joint accounts of Personal Integrated Account, Hong Kong Dollar (“HKD”) Savings Account, ATM Savings Account and HKD Current Account. If you have any of the accounts above with the Bank, simply inform your employer to update your auto-payroll account information. If you do not have any of the accounts above with Hang Seng Bank, please visit any of our branches to open an account.
(ii) During the Promotion Period, customers must set-up an Auto-Payroll instruction with Hang Seng Bank account (payroll amount is directly credited to the registered Hang Seng Bank account by employer through Auto-Payroll Service), and successfully register through our hotline (2998 6018) within the Promotion Period. To be eligible for the offer, customers must have at least two Auto-Payroll transactions in their registered Hang Seng Bank account before 30 June 2008. Eligible customers will be rewarded with Cash Dollars based on relevant monthly payroll amount:

Example: A customer has informed his / her employer to use Hang Seng Bank account as his / her Auto-Payroll account and has successfully registered via the hotline 2998 6018. A monthly salary of HKD30,000 is directly credited by customer’s employer to the Auto-Payroll account two times or more on or before 30 June 2008. The Bank will then credit $600 Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars into the customer’s Hang Seng Credit Card account accordingly.
(iii) Each registered account may enjoy the offer once only. The offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Hang Seng Auto-Payroll Service offer and is not transferable. Only the first application will be considered if customers apply more than once. In case of a joint account, this offer will be applicable to the registered account holder only. If the registered personal identity is not the same as the Bank’s record, only the primary account holder can enjoy the offer.
(iv) Cash Dollars will be credited to eligible customer’s Hang Seng Credit Card account with the highest Cash Dollars balance by the end of July 2008. If one of the Credit Card accounts of the customer has outstanding Advance Cash Dollars balance, Cash Dollars will then be credited into such account. If an eligible customer has more than one Hang Seng Credit Card account with outstanding Advance Cash Dollars balance, Cash Dollars will be credited into such Credit Card account with the highest outstanding Advance Cash Dollars balance at that time. If the customer does not have any applicable Hang Seng Credit Card, the customer can make enquiry to the Bank and apply for the relevant Hang Seng Credit Card. The application must be successfully approved on or before 30 June 2008 for the Cash Dollars to be rewarded. If the application of the credit card is not approved, the customer will not be rewarded with any Cash Dollars. Upon crediting the Cash Dollars, the relevant Credit Card must still be valid and with a good credit record, and the eligible customer should also still maintain the relevant Auto-Payroll account. Each eligible customer can enjoy this offer once only. This offer is not applicable to supplementary cards, Hang Seng Corporate Cards, Hang Seng Commercial Cards, JAL Hang Seng Cards, Hang Seng Renminbi Credit Cards, USD Visa Gold Cards or Private Label Cards. Cash Dollars rewards cannot be transferred or converted into cash. The use of Cash Dollars is subject to the terms and conditions of the Hang Seng Credit Card Membership Rewards Programme. This offer is only applicable to personal customers. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other Hang Seng Auto-Payroll Service offer.
6. Fund subscription fee offer
(i) The promotion period is from 19 February to 31 May 2008. The "Net 1.8% subscription fee offer on the first time subscription of designated fund" is only applicable to the first single subscription transaction of an open-end fund distributed by the Bank (except index funds and index-leveraged funds) made through branch channel using a new Integrated Account of Prestige Banking opened through branch channel on the same day. Please contact our staff for details of the funds which are covered by this subscription fee offer.
(ii) This offer does not apply to: fund units with no subscription fees (e.g. Class B Units), money market funds, capital guaranteed funds, fund subscriptions pursuant to Hang Seng Monthly Investment Plan for Funds, or using “Advanced Switching Service” or “Capital Guaranteed Fund Advance Reinvestment Service”, or other fund subscriptions as specified by the Bank from time to time. This offer is not applicable to customers who are upgraded to Prestige Banking in the Preferential Upgrade Program, staff of the Bank and anyone who is enjoying staff offers.
(iii) This offer is not applicable to all investment fund subscription applications that are received after the cut-off time of the relevant funds on the last day of promotion period (i.e.31 May 2008) and such subscription applications will be processed on the next dealing day. Please note that different cut-off times may apply for subscription applications for different funds and/or subscription applications for the same fund through different channels. Customers are advised to contact our staff to enquire about the cut-off time for the relevant subscription applications beforehand.
7. Securities Offers
(i) Offers are only applicable to the transactions of local warrants (excluding Callable Bull/Bear Contracts) listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong conducted through Hang Seng Securities by Securities Account (personal/joint) customers of the Bank. This offer is not applicable to customers who are staff of the Bank and anyone who is enjoying staff offers.
(ii) "Unlimited brokerage waiver for warrant buy transactions" Offer
The offer is only applicable to the buy transactions of local warrants (except Callable Bull/Bear Contracts) listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong executed via any automated securities trading channels (including Hang Seng Personal e-Banking, Hang Seng Mobile Trading, Hang Seng “TV Securities Trading Services” and Automated Securities Trading Hotline) during the period of 1 February and 30 April 2008. Customers are required to pay all the brokerage fees at the normal rate (i.e. 0.25% of transaction amount, minimum HKD100 per transaction) first. The waived brokerage fee will then be deposited into the Settlement Account of the relevant Securities Account in the form of cash rebate by end of June 2008. The rebate amount will be calculated based on the actual brokerage fee paid by the customers, excluding any securities custody fee, securities deposit charges for purchase orders, nominee services fee and any third party transaction charges such as Transaction Levy, Stamp Duty and Trading Fee, etc. Customers should maintain the relevant Securities Account and the Settlement Account on the date on which the rebate is deposited.
(iii) "Brokerage waiver if you can’t make a profit on warrant day trades" Offer
(a) The offer is applicable to warrants listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong with the same code (except Callable Bull/Bear Contracts) where both purchase and selling orders are given on the same trading day via any automated securities trading channels (including Hang Seng Personal e-Banking, Hang Seng Mobile Trading, Hang Seng “TV Securities Trading Services” and Automated Securities Trading Hotline) during the period of 1 February and 30 April 2008 and the weighted average purchase price is higher or equal to the weighted average selling price of such warrants ("Eligible Warrants"). The calculation of the weighted average purchase/selling price excludes the brokerage and securities deposit charge for purchase orders charged by the Bank and transaction charges charged by third parties (such as Transaction Levy, Stamp Duty and Trading Fee, etc.) and is calculated on an individual account basis.
(b) Calculation of the brokerage amount to be waived:
i. The brokerage amount to be waived is calculated by reference to the cumulative purchase units and cumulative selling units of the same Eligible Warrant on the same trading day. Where the number of cumulative purchase units and cumulative selling units of the same Eligible Warrant are different, the difference between the cumulative purchase units and cumulative selling units (“Ineligible Units”) will not enjoy the offer (“Ineligible Brokerage”).
ii. Formula of the brokerage amount to be waived: Actual brokerage to be paid for an Eligible Warrant on the same trading day minus Ineligible Brokerage.
iii. The actual brokerage to be paid excludes securities custody fee, securities deposit charge for purchase orders and nominee services fee charged by the Bank and transaction charges charged by third parties (such as Transaction Levy, Stamp Duty and Trading Fee, etc.).
iv. The Ineligible Brokerage is calculated by reference to the Ineligible Units of an Eligible Warrant at normal brokerage rate (i.e. 0.25% of the transaction amount, minimum HKD100 per transaction), and the relevant weighted average purchase/selling price.
v. Illustrative example of the calculation of brokerage to be waived:

(c) Customer is required to pay all brokerage at normal brokerage (i.e. 0.25% of the transaction amount, minimum HKD100 per transaction) first. The waived brokerage will be deposited into customer’s settlement account in the form of cash rebate by end of June 2008. Customer should maintain the relevant Securities Account and the Settlement Account on the date when the cash rebate is deposited.
8. Outward Telegraphic Transfers Offer
i. The preferential flat charge includes handling charge and cable charge, but does not include foreign bank charges (if any).
ii. The full prevailing tariff will still be levied on customers at the time of the transaction. The Bank will refund the difference of the full charge and the preferential flat charge as a rebate on or before 30 June 2008 in Hong Kong dollars to Hong Kong dollar current or savings account of Prestige Banking. If no Prestige Hong Kong dollar account is available, the rebate will be credited to the Hong Kong dollar or foreign currency account from which funds were debited for the Outward Telegraphic Transfer transaction. Where a conversion of Hong Kong dollars into another currency is required, such conversion shall be calculated at the prevailing exchange rate quoted by the Bank from time to time.
iii. Eligible Customers should still maintain the relevant Integrated Account of Prestige Banking when the rebate is made on or before 30 June 2008.
iv. The Bank reserves the right of final decision on all matters relating to the above offer, including the related transaction counts and associated charges.
9. Pre-approved Prestige Banking Platinum Card and Perpetual Annual Fee Waiver
The pre-approval offer and the type of credit card eventually offered are subject to the final decision of the Bank. The Bank reserves the right to revoke this pre-approved offer at its discretion. The Prestige Banking Platinum Card is offered to Prestige Banking customers only. In case of cancellation of the Prestige Banking account, the Prestige Banking Platinum Card will also become invalid. Those exclusive offers that can be enjoyed through the Prestige Banking Platinum Card will also be no longer available. Perpetual annual fee waiver is valid during the entire period which the customer maintains an Integrated Account of Prestige Banking. If customer holds more than one Hang Seng Credit Card, the perpetual annual fee waiver will be applicable to one of the credit cards with the highest annual fee only but will not be applicable to Hang Seng Visa Infinite, Hang Seng Corporate Card, Hang Seng Commercial Card and USD Visa Gold Card. All annual fees paid prior to accepting this pre-approval offer will not be refunded.
10. Personal Concierge Service
The offer is only applicable to the holder of Hang Seng Prestige Banking Platinum Card. The above service and information are provided by Visa International/MasterCard International/other third party service providers and the Bank assumes no responsibilities for such service and information. Customer agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions for the service provided by Visa International/MasterCard International/other third party service providers which may be amended from time to time. For any claims, disputes and complaints regarding such service and information, customer should refer directly to Visa International/MasterCard International/other third party service providers. Customers may need to provide personal data or other information to Visa International/MasterCard International/other third party service providers for the purpose of provision of the service to customer. In case provision of the service incur any charges (include without limitation to applicable local tax and any commission payable to any agent), the customer will be responsible for such charges.
11. Hotel Dining Offer
For details and related terms and conditions on the offers and its services, please refer to hangseng.com/platinum. The Bank reserves the right to change the offers’ terms and conditions and its valid period from time to time.

Remarks: The Bank reserves the right to suspend, vary or terminate this promotion and its offers and to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The decision of the Bank on all matters relating to the promotion and offers shall be final and binding on all parties concerned. The offers are subject to the Integrated Account of Prestige Banking Terms and Conditions. If there is any inconsistency between the Integrated Account of Prestige Banking Terms and Conditions and these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall prevail. In case of any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
