^ "First-time Successful Enrolment Customers" refers to customers who have not successfully enrolled in the Travelsure Protection Plan Single Trip Cover in the capacity of the policyholder in the past 24 months.
* "Selected Customers" refers to customers who have successfully enrolled in the Travelsure Protection Plan Single Trip Cover in the capacity of the policyholder in the past 24 months and will be entitled to an additional “Loyalty Reward” premium discount of 5% (i.e. 35% premium discount in total) if they successfully enrol in a Single Trip Cover again via hangseng.com, Hang Seng Personal e-Banking, 24-hour Enrolment Hotline or Hang Seng Credit Card Customer Service Hotline.

If the Insured Person rents or hires a rental vehicle during the Journey which is involved in a collision whilst under his/ her control or the rental vehicle is stolen or damaged and the rental agreement includes an insurance excess (or deductible or similar condition), the Insured Person will be reimbursed, according to the Policy, the insurance excess paid for the above described loss or damage to such rental vehicle, up to maximum HKD5,000. This benefit shall be payable only once per Journey. This Extension is applicable for the Policy of Area 2 and 3 only. The Insured Person must take relevant comprehensive motor vehicle insurance provided by the rental organization against loss or damage to the rental vehicle during the rental period.

Only applicable to the Travelsure Protection Plan - Annual Global Cover or Single Trip Cover – Area 2 (including Mainland China, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Guam, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau SAR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Saipan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Tinian and Vietnam) and Area 3 (refers to  Worldwide). For an Insured Person aged 70 or above (on the day of injury), the maximum amount for the benefits of Medical and Other Expenses and Personal Accident will be limited to 50%. For an Insured Person aged under 18 (on the day of death), the accidental death benefit will be limited to HKD100,000.

Extended to cover for acts of terrorism, except for loss, damage, death, Injury, Sickness, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, contributed by, resulting from or in connection with any acts of terrorism involving the use or release or the threat thereof of any nuclear weapon or device or chemical or biological agent, regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other sequence to the loss.

The Travelsure Protection Plan, Home Care Plan or Home Care Plus Home Insurance Plan are underwritten by QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Commissioner of Insurance of the HKSAR. Hang Seng Bank Limited (“Hang Seng Bank”) is an insurance agent authorised by QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited for the distribution of these Plans. Premiums will be payable to QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited upon enrolment of these Plans. QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited would provide Hang Seng Bank commission and performance bonus accordingly in respect of the selling of these Plans. The existing staff remuneration policy on sales offered by Hang Seng Bank takes into account various aspects of the staff performance instead of focusing solely on the sales amount.

In respect of an eligible dispute arising between the Hang Seng Bank Limited and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, Hang Seng Bank Limited is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the product should be resolved between directly QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited and the customer.
