Terms and Conditions for Hang Seng Payroll Service Promotion ("the Promotion")

  1. The Promotion period is from 1 January 2022 to 31 March 2022, both dates inclusive ("Promotion Period").
  2. The Promotion is not applicable to existing payroll customers of Hang Seng Bank Limited ("the Bank"). Customers must have no payroll record under any account of the Bank within the 6 months prior to registration (not including the registration month) and fulfil all of the following requirements during the Promotion Period ("Eligible Customers"):
    1. Successfully register for the Promotion online (hangsengcom/payroll)online (hangsengcom/payroll)through Hang Seng Bank website > Banking > Deposits & Foreign Exchange > Payroll Services > Payroll Service Promotion Online Registration or visit any of our branches; AND
    2. Successfully receive salary with monthly payroll amount of HKD10,000 or above in each consecutive month with a sole-named or joint-named Integrated Account of Signature, Integrated Account of Prestige Banking, Integrated Account of Preferred Banking or Integrated Account ("Payroll Account(s)") according to the promotion registration month ("Registration Month") and its respective payroll period ("Payroll Period") listed below.

  3. Eligible Customer must have salary amount credited to his/her Payroll Account via the following Eligible Payroll Methods (as mentioned on table below) during Payroll Period in order to enjoy the offer below (take Payroll Period of February 2022 to April 2022 as an illustration):

    Either
    (1) Salary amount directly credited to Eligible Customer’s Payroll Account from the employer's company account via Autopay. Any payroll amount not credited from the employer’s company account is not considered as eligible payroll records.
    Or
    (2) Successfully transfer fund from other banks to the Payroll Account of the Eligible Customer via Pull Money service on Hang Seng Personal Banking mobile app.
    Note:
    If the amount is transferred via Pull Money service in the first and/or second month, the payroll amount to be taken by the Bank for the respective month in the calculation of the average monthly payroll amount will be decided by comparing the amount transferred to the third month’s salary amount directly credited to Eligible Customer’s Payroll Account from the employer's company account via Autopay, whichever is lower.
    If both of the above Eligible Payroll Methods recorded in the same month, the Bank will only take the payroll records from the employer's company account via Autopay as eligible payroll record for that month.
    The third month
    (April 2022)
    Salary amount must be directly credited to Eligible Customer’s Payroll Account from the employer's company account via Autopay. Any payroll amount not credited from the employer’s company account is not considered as eligible payroll record.
  4. The offer is not applicable to the remittance, local CHATS, standing instruction, cheque and cash which is deposited to the Payroll Account as salary credit. The Bank reserves the right of final discretion on the payroll method and may request customer to provide payroll certificate from his/her employer for verification.
  5. The calculation of the average monthly payroll amount of the Eligible Customer will be based on the monthly accumulated payroll records of HKD10,000 or above within the Payroll Period. The average monthly payroll amount refers to the aggregate of monthly accumulated payroll amounts of the Eligible Customer in each consecutive month via the Eligible Payroll Methods within the Payroll Period and divided by three ("Average Monthly Payroll Amount"). The Eligible Customer will be entitled to the respective Cash Reward based on his/her Average Monthly Payroll Amount as stipulated on the table below:

  6. For details on the calculation of the Average Monthly Payroll Amount, please refer to the examples below:
    Example 1: tick Eligible Customer
    A customer registers for the Promotion in January 2022, and obtains payroll records in each consecutive month via the Eligible Payroll Methods within the Payroll Period with monthly accumulated payroll amount of HKD10,000 or above starting from February 2022:

    Example 2: wrong Ineligible Customer
    A customer registers for the Promotion in January 2022, but fails to obtain a payroll record via the Eligible Payroll Methods in one of the months within the Payroll Period starting from February 2022:

    Example 3: Ineligible Customer
    A customer registers for the Promotion in January 2022, but fails to reach HKD10,000 or above for the accumulated payroll amount in one of the months via the Eligible Payroll Methods within the Payroll Period starting from February 2022:

  7. The Cash Reward will be credited to the Eligible Customer’s Payroll Account on or before 31 August 2022. The Payroll Account must be valid at the time the corresponding Cash Reward is credited, otherwise he/she will forfeit his/her right to receive the Cash Reward.
  8. Eligible Customer is entitled to the Cash Reward once only with the amount capped at HKD800.
  9. The payroll amount and the number of payroll transactions are subject to the Bank's records. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
  10. Unless otherwise specified, the Promotion cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with other Payroll Service offers provided by the Bank and are not transferable.
  11. The Promotion cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with the Payroll Service offers of Hang Seng Corporate Employee Privilege Programme.
  12. Only the first registration will be considered if the Eligible Customer has more than one registration. In case the customer’s registered identity document number and account number do not match with the Bank's records, the customer will not be eligible for any of the rewards under the Promotion. If the registered account is a joint-named account, the offer and the rewards will only be applicable to the principal account holder. All registration records cannot be changed and the Bank’s record shall prevail.
  13. Unless otherwise specified, the Promotion is not applicable to corporate accounts customers, Private Banking customers and the Bank's staff.
  14. Unless otherwise specified, the Promotion is applicable to Eligible Customer who has payroll transactions in Hong Kong Dollars only.
  15. The Bank reserves the right to suspend, vary and terminate all the rewards and amend the relevant Terms and Conditions of the rewards from time to time. The decision of the Bank on all matters relating to the rewards shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.
  16. No person other than the Eligible Customer and the Bank (which includes its successors and assigns) will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provision of these Terms and Conditions.
  17. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  18. These Terms and Conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirements.
  19. In case of any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
