Terms and Conditions for Payroll Service Welcome Offers Promotion for Selected Customers during April – June 2020 ("the Promotion")

General Terms and Conditions:

  1. The Offers are only applicable to the selected customers of SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings Limited ("the Customer(s)").
  2. The following General Terms and Conditions are applicable to the promotional offers (1), (2), (3) and (4).
  3. The promotion period is from 14 April 2020 to 30 June 2020, both dates inclusive ("Promotion Period").
  4. The promotional offers (1), (2), (3) and (4) are not applicable to existing Hang Seng payroll customers, but only applicable to customers who do not have any payroll record under any account of Hang Seng Bank Limited ("the Bank") within the 6 months prior to the promotion registration (not including the registration month); and fulfil all of the following requirements ("Eligible Customer(s)") during the Promotion Period mentioned herewith below:
    1. Successfully register for the Promotion via a designated webpage (hangseng.com/payrolloffer1) ("Designated Registration Channel"); and
    2. Successfully receive salary in each consecutive month through a sole-named or joint-named Integrated Account of Prestige Signature, Integrated Account of Prestige Banking, Integrated Account of Preferred Banking, Integrated Account of Green Banking or Integrated Account ("Payroll Account(s)") according to the below promotion registration month ("Registration Month") in the designated payroll period ("Payroll Period") with monthly payroll amount of HKD10,000 or above.

  5. Eligible Customers must have an applicable Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Card.
  6. The payroll amount of each Eligible Customer must be directly credited salary to his / her Payroll Account by the employer's company account via Autopay (transactions from non-employer's company account are ineligible).
  7. The average monthly payroll amount of the Eligible Customer will be calculated by the Bank based on the monthly accumulated payroll records which reach HKD10,000 or above within the Payroll Period. The average monthly payroll amount refers to the aggregate payroll amounts of the Eligible Customer in each consecutive month within the Payroll Period divided by the number of months with payroll records in the Bank ("Average Monthly Payroll Amount"). For details about the calculation of Average Monthly Payroll Amount, please refer to the examples below:
    Example 1: Eligible Customer
    Customer registers for the Promotion in April 2020, and has payroll records in each consecutive month within the Payroll Period with monthly accumulated payroll amount of HKD10,000 or above starting from May 2020:

    Example 2: Ineligible Customer
    Customer registers for the Promotion in April 2020, but one of the months has no payroll record within the Payroll Period starting from May 2020:

    Example 3: Ineligible Customer
    Customer registers for the Promotion in April 2020, but one of the months has a payroll record which the accumulated payroll amount does not reach HKD10,000 or above within the Payroll Period starting from May 2020:

    Customer does not fulfil the requirements for the Average Monthly Payroll Amount
  8. The payroll amount and the number of payroll transactions are subject to the Bank's records. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
  9. Each Eligible Customer can enjoy Offers (1), (2), (3) and (4) once only.
  10. Unless otherwise specified, all the Offers cannot be used in conjunction with other Payroll Service Offers provided by the Bank and are not transferable.
  11. Offers (1), (2), (3) and (4) cannot be used in conjunction with the Payroll Service Welcome Offers Promotion and the Payroll Service Offers of Hang Seng Corporate Employee Privilege Programme.
  12. Only the first registration will be considered if Eligible Customers register more than once. In case the registered identity document number and account number of a customer does not match with the Bank's records, such customer will not be eligible for any of the Offers under the Promotion. If the registered account is a joint-named account, the Offers will only be applicable to the principal account holder. All registration records cannot be changed and the Bank's record shall prevail.
  13. Unless otherwise specified, all the Offers are not applicable to corporate accounts customers, Private Banking customers and the Bank's staff.
  14. Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars ("Cash Dollars") will be credited to the Hang Seng Prestige World Mastercard® accounts of the Eligible Customers. If Eligible Customers do not have a Hang Seng Prestige World Mastercard, and have one or more than one Hang Seng Credit Card accounts with an outstanding Advance Cash Dollars, the Cash Dollars will be credited into such Credit Card accounts with the highest outstanding Advance Cash Dollars balance at that time. If Eligible Customers do not have Advance Cash Dollars, the Cash Dollars will be credited to the Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Card accounts with the highest Cash Dollars balance. Upon the crediting of the Cash Dollars, the relevant Credit Card accounts must still be valid and with good credit records.
  15. All the Cash Dollars Offers are not applicable to Hang Seng Supplementary Card, Business Card, Commercial Card, enJoy Card, USD Visa Gold Card, UnionPay RMB Diamond Commercial Card, Renminbi Credit Card, Spending Card, e-shopping Mastercard and Private Label Card. The Cash Dollars cannot be transferred or converted into cash. The use of Cash Dollars is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Hang Seng Credit Card Membership Rewards Programme.   16. Eligible Customers shall still maintain valid Payroll Accounts when corresponding Cash Dollars of Offers (1), (2), (3) and bonus interest of Offer (4) are credited. Otherwise, such Eligible Customers will forfeit their entitlement to the Offers.
  17. Unless otherwise specified, all the Offers are applicable to Eligible Customers who have payroll transactions in Hong Kong Dollars only.
  18. The Bank reserves the right to suspend, vary and terminate all the Offers and amend the relevant Terms and Conditions of the Offers from time to time. The decision of the Bank on all matters relating to the Offers shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.
  19. No person other than the Eligible Customer and the Bank (which includes its successors and assigns) will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provision of these Terms and Conditions.
  20. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  21. These Terms and Conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirements.
  22. In case of any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.

  23. Offer (1): Terms and Conditions for Payroll Reward up to $1,300 Cash Dollars ("Offer 1")

  24. Eligible Customers who fulfil above requirements of "General Terms and Conditions" will be entitled to the respective Cash Dollars which is based on their Average Monthly Payroll Amount as stipulated in the table below. Details are as follows ("Eligible Customer(s) of Offer 1"):

  25. Cash Dollars will be credited to the Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Card account of the Eligible Customer of Offer 1 on or before 30 November 2020.
  26. Eligible Customer of Offer 1 can be entitled to Offer 1 once only and can enjoy up to $1,300 Cash Dollars.

  27. Offer (2): Terms and Conditions for Bill Payment Reward up to $100 Cash Dollars ("Offer 2")

  28. Offer 2 is only applicable to the Eligible Customers of Offer 1 who successfully perform bill payment via Hang Seng Personal e-Banking, Hang Seng Personal Banking mobile app or ATM 3 times or above through the Payroll Account with a minimum amount of HKD100 per bill payment during his / her designated Payroll Period ("Eligible Customer(s) of Offer 2"), can enjoy extra Cash Dollars on table below according to Average Monthly Payroll Amount:

  29. Cash Dollars will be credited to the Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Card account of the Eligible Customer of Offer 2 on or before 30 November 2020.
  30. Eligible Customers of Offer 2 can be entitled to the Offer 2 once only and can enjoy up to $100 Cash Dollars.
  31. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other relevant offers provided by the Bank.

  32. Offer (3): Terms and Conditions for Lucky Draw of $10,000 Cash Dollars ("Offer 3")

  33. Offer 3 is only applicable to the Eligible Customers who fulfil the requirements of Offer 1 and Offer 2 and must successfully transfer funds at least once with minimum amount of HKD100 from other banks to the Payroll Accounts of Eligible Customers via FPS during his / her designated Payroll Period, excluding transfers within the Bank, Direct Debit Authorisations and payroll transactions ("Eligible Transfer Transaction") ("Eligible Customer(s) of Offer 3").
  34. Eligible Customer of Offer 3 must have a valid correspondence local address in Hong Kong under the Bank's record and Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Card.
  35. Eligible Customer of Offer 3 of the Promotion, the Payroll Service Welcome Offers Promotion and the Payroll Service Offers of Hang Seng Corporate Employee Privilege Programme will fall into the same pool for lucky draw.
  36. Each Eligible Customer of Offer 3 will be entitled to one lucky draw chance. The lucky draw will be conducted after the last round of the Payroll Period (i.e. September 2020) and 10 winners will be drawn. Each winner will receive $10,000 Cash Dollars once. Cash Dollars will be credited to the Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Card account of the winners and each winner will receive a notification letter on or before 30 November 2020.
  37. Any transaction that is found to be fraudulent will not be considered as Eligible Transfer Transaction and the related customer will not be rewarded.
  38. In the event of any dispute arising from the distribution of Offer 3, the decision of the Bank shall be final and conclusive.

  39. Offer (4): Terms and Conditions for Deposit Reward of 2% p.a. HKD Savings Deposit Bonus Interest Rate ("Offer 4")

  40. Eligible Customer of Offer 1 can enjoy a 2% p.a. HKD Savings Deposit Bonus Interest Rate for the initial HKD100,000 average daily HKD savings deposit balance in his / her designated Payroll Account ("Eligible Deposit Amount") for the first 2 payroll months of his / her designated Payroll Period ("Eligible Customer(s) of Offer 4").
  41. The average daily deposit balance of each month is calculated by dividing the sum of the daily account deposit balance by the number of calendar days of the respective month and all the related account deposit balance shall be based on the record of the Bank.
  42. The bonus interest will be calculated on the basis of the Eligible Deposit Amount (cap at HKD100,000) for such month and calendar days in such year. Bonus Interest Entitlement (HKD) = Eligible Deposit Amount x 2% x calendar days of such month ÷ calendar days in such year.
  43. The amount of bonus interest earned from the Eligible Deposit Amount will be credited to the Payroll Accounts of Eligible Customers of Offer 4 on or before 30 November 2020.
  44. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other savings deposit bonus interest rate offers for the same currency.
  45. Savings deposit interest rate is subject to review according to changes in market condition from time to time. Before making the relevant transaction, please check with our branch staff for the effective rates applicable to the transaction.
