Terms and Conditions for Subscription of Relevant Investment Products Offer:

  1. The Promotion Period of this offer is from 6 February to 31 March 2023, both dates inclusive (the “Promotion Period”).
  2. The offer is only applicable to customers who meet the account opening requirements and have newly opened/upgraded to Integrated Account of Prestige Banking (“Prestige Banking”) or newly opened/upgraded^ to Prestige Private at Hang Seng Bank Limited ("the Bank") branches or through digital channels (including Hang Seng Personal e-Banking) or phone banking hotline during the Promotion Period (the “Eligible Customers”), but excluding:
    1. existing Prestige Banking / Prestige Private customers; or
    2. customers who have ever held any Prestige Banking / Prestige Private account with the Bank in the previous 12- month period (both start and end dates are inclusive) prior to the account opening month; or
    3. customers whose any accounts have been terminated in any period
  3. Eligible Customers who have successfully subscribed for Investment Funds, Structured Products (including structured products linked to equities, funds, indexes or interest rates offered by the Bank) and/or purchase of secondary market bonds with the specified Accumulated Investment Amount via any channels of the Bank during the Promotion Period will be entitled to receive Cash Rewards as per table below:

  4. Eligible Customers who have successfully subscribed for Certificate of Deposit Product, MaxiInterest Investment Deposit and/or Capital Protected Investment Deposit with the specified Accumulated Investment Amount via any channels of the Bank during the Promotion Period will be entitled to receive Cash Rewards as per table below:

  5. The offer is applicable to Eligible Customer’s subscription for and/or switching to any investment funds distributed by the Bank (except for the funds set out in paragraph (f) below) through general subscription, Advanced Switching Service# and/or the General Fund Switching Service, subscription for structured products, purchase of secondary market bonds (except for the bonds set out in paragraph (f) below), subscribe for MaxiInterest Investment Deposit and Capital Protected Investment Deposit and/or Certificate of Deposit Product through any channels of the Bank during the Promotion Period.
  6. The offer is not applicable to fund subscription through Hang Seng Monthly Investment Plan for Funds, fund subscriptions via SimplyFund (under the account number suffix of 384), and other funds/ fund transactions as specified by the Bank from time to time; and is not applicable to any bonds purchased from Initial Public Offering.
  7. The Accumulated Investment Amount is calculated on a "per-Eligible Customer basis". If Eligible Customers hold more than one Prestige Banking/ Prestige Private account, the cumulative investment amount of the relevant investment product(s) will be combined.
  8. In case the relevant Prestige Banking/ Prestige Private account is a joint-named account, only the primary account holder can enjoy the offer. Each Eligible Customer will only be eligible for a maximum of HKD10,000 Cash Reward (with the Cash Reward amount depending on the Accumulated Investment Amount).
  9. Any investment application made after the cut-off time of the Relevant Investment Products on 31 March 2023 will not be regarded as investment application made during the Promotion Period and will not be counted towards the Accumulated Investment Amount within the Promotion Period. All such applications will be handled in the next dealing day. Please note that the cut-off time for different investment products through different channels may vary. Eligible Customers are advised to check the cut-off time for the Relevant Investment Products with our staff.
  10. About “Accumulated Investment Amount”:
    • The Accumulated Investment Amount of Relevant Investment Products will be calculated in Hong Kong dollar. Only the value of completed transactions in Prestige Banking/ Prestige Private account will be counted in determining the Accumulated Investment Amount, while the value of any cancelled or unsuccessful transactions will be excluded. If Eligible Customers hold more than one Prestige Banking/ Prestige Private account, the cumulative investment amount of the relevant investment product(s) will be combined. If the Relevant Investment Products invested during the Promotion Period are denominated in currency other than Hong Kong dollar, the Accumulated Investment Amount within the Promotion Period will be calculated by converting it into Hong Kong dollar based on the exchange rate as determined by the Bank on the last dealing day of March 2023.
    • During the Promotion Period, if an Eligible Customer’s subscription or switching transactions of “Relevant Investment Products” are solely determined by the Bank as overly frequent or the holding period is too short, the Bank reserves the right to exclude such transactions when calculating the relevant Accumulated Investment Amount.
  11. The Bank will credit the Cash Rewards into, in each case, the Hong Kong Dollar settlement account of the Eligible Customer’s Prestige Banking/ Prestige Private account on or before 30 June 2023. The Eligible Customer must still hold the relevant Prestige Banking/Prestige Private account when the Cash Reward is credited.
  12. Unless otherwise specified, the Offer is not applicable to Commercial Banking and Private Banking customers of the Bank, and cannot be used in conjunction with other offer(s) of the Bank.
  13. No person other than the customer and the Bank (which includes its successors and assigns) will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provision of these Terms and Conditions.
  14. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  15. These Terms and Conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirements.
  16. For more details of the Offer, please contact the Bank’s staff. The Offer is offered by the Bank. The Bank reserves the right to suspend, vary or terminate the Offer and to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The Bank also reserves the right of final decision on all matters relating to the Offer, which shall be binding on all parties concerned.
  17. In case of any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.

^ From 13 February 2023, the offer is extended to customers who upgrade to Prestige Private. Customers who upgrade to Prestige Private from 6 February 2023 to 12 February 2023 can also enjoy the offer.

If you purchase the Structured Products, you are relying upon the creditworthiness of the Issuer of the Structured Products.
  • Liquidity risk - Structured Products are designed to be held to its maturity. You may not be able to sell your investment in the Structured Products before maturity. If you try to sell the Structured Products before maturity, the amount you receive may be substantially less than the investment amount you paid for the Structured Products.
  • Credit risk of the Structured Products issuer - Structured Products constitute general unsecured and unsubordinated contractual obligations of the issuer.
