Enjoy flexible banking, change transfer limits anytime

Update your daily bill payment limit instantly through desktop version of Personal e-Banking or Hang Seng Mobile App

A Mobile Security Key / physical Security Device is required in order to raise daily transfer limit and daily bill payment limit

Log on Hang Seng Mobile App, tap "Transfer & Pay"

Press the gear icon at the top right corner to enter "Settings"

Select "Set bill payment limits"

Select “Master limit”

Input a new master bill payment limit. You may raise or lower the current daily bill payment limit, then press "Update limit"

To raise limit, you will be required to enter the selected digits of identification number and Mobile Security Key password or use Biometric Authentication (if enabled) to verify the transaction.

Done!

The master bill payment limit has been updated.

Log on Hang Seng Mobile App, tap "Transfer & Pay"

Press the gear icon at the top right corner to enter "Settings"

Select "Set bill payment limits"

Select “Merchant limit”

Select the corresponding merchant that you wish to update the daily payment limit

Input a new bill payment limit of that merchant. You may raise or lower the current daily bill payment limit, then press "Update limit"

To raise limit, you will be required to enter the selected digits of identification number and Mobile Security Key password or use Biometric Authentication (if enabled) to verify the transaction.

Done!
The bill payment limit of that merchant has been updated.

Once registered, there is no need to enter the account numbers and details of the payees again
You can raise or lower the daily transfer limit of a registered payee or delete registered payees online
Your instruction to reduce daily transfer limits will take effect immediately
You can view the summary of registered payees online, including account numbers, payees' names and current daily transfer limits

You can register the following account types online

Third-party Hang Seng Account
Other local bank account
FPS Proxy ID
Cross-Border / Overseas Remittance Account

A Mobile Security Key / physical Security Device is required for registering new payee and raising limit for existing payees

Tutorial

Log on Hang Seng Mobile App, select "Transfer & Pay" from the bottom menu

Select “To local account / FPS”

Select “New payee”

Select new payee type (i.e. Phone / Email / FPS ID / account number / credit card number)

Fill in new payee details and check the box “Add as registered payee” on the payee detail input page, and complete your transfer by following the instructions there. The register new payee instruction will be submitted upon the completion of transfer.

Instruction submitted before 9:00 p.m. HKT (Monday to Friday) or 6:00 p.m. HKT (Saturday) will be effective in next working day; instruction submitted after the above cut-off time or on public holiday will be effective in two working days.

Done! Your instruction of updating this payee transfer limit has been received.

If you are reducing the limit, the instruction will be effective immediately; if you are raising limit, instruction submitted before 9:00 p.m. HKT (Monday to Friday) or 6:00 p.m. HKT (Saturday) will be effective in next working day, instruction submitted after the above cut-off time or on public holiday will be effective in two working days.

Select “Manage local transfer payees”

Select the corresponding payee that you wish to delete

Click “Delete payee”

If you confirm to delete this registered payee, please click “Delete”.

The registered payee has been deleted.

Direct Debit Authorisation makes settlement easier

You can set up a new DDA instruction and amend or delete existing Direct Debit Authorisation instruction
When amending the instruction, you can change the amount and expiry date for the current Direct Debit Authorisation
You can view the Direct Debit Authorisation status summary online, including the beneficiary details by checking your account and status.

A Mobile Security Key / physical Security Device may be required for setup or amend Direct Debit Authorisation instruction

Tutorial

Log on to desktop version of Personal e-Banking

Go to Transfer & Pay > Direct Debit Authorisation > Set Up New Instruction

Input all the required information as instructed

(Applicable to logon with dual passwords)
Security Code generated by your Mobile Security Key or physical Security Device may be required for the setup the Direct Debit Authorisation or Electronic Direct Debit Authorisation (eDDA) of designated payees

Choose the corresponding Direct Debit Authorisation and select 'Amend'

A security code generated by your Mobile Security Key or physical Security Device may be required to amend the Direct Debit Authorisation or Electronic Direct Debit Authorisation (eDDA) of designated payees

Verify your input.
