Plan overview

PreciousLife Critical Illness Life Insurance Plan is a life insurance plan ("the Plan") and is not a bank deposit. It is underwritten by Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited ("Hang Seng Insurance").

 

Protecting your beloved family must be something always on your mind. The Plan protects you against up to 128 critical illnesses at different stages, for you and your family to enjoy comprehensive critical illness and life protection.

Key features

The Plan protects you against 128 illnesses (including 60 Critical Illnesses, 56 Early Stage Critical Illnesses and 12 Severe Child Illnesses), covering all three major severe diseases, i.e. cancer, heart attack and stroke, as well as common elderly diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.

The Plan has also built in life protection. In the unfortunate event of the death of the Life Insured when the policy is in force, the beneficiary(ies) will be paid a Death Benefit. Such financial assistance can help alleviate the immediate influence on the family’s livelihood.

The annual projected policy dividends, when distributed, can be, at the choice of the Life Insured, either withdrawn in cash or retained in the policy to accumulate with interest. Moreover, the Cash Value at maturity will be payable at the end of the policy term. Hence, in addition to offering medical protection against severe illnesses, the Plan can also serve as a long-term family fund.

The application process for the Plan is simple. Provided that the Life Insured and/or the Policyholder fulfils the application requirements of the Plan, such as Insurance Age and maximum Sum Insured per Life Insured etc, no medical examination of the Life Insured will be required.

The PreciousLife Critical Illness Life Insurance Plan ("the Plan") is underwritten by Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Insurance Authority of the HKSAR. Hang Seng Bank is an insurance agent authorised by Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited and the product is a product of Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited, not Hang Seng Bank.
  2.  In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between Hang Seng Bank and you out of the selling process or processing of the related insurance product transaction, Hang Seng Bank will enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with you; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the insurance products should be resolved between Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited and you directly.

The premium includes various fees and charges such as insurance cost (e.g. cost of death benefit determined formulated according to the mortality rate that is affected by sex and age of the insured person) and policy administration charges, etc. You also understand that Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited will pay commissions and sales incentives to “Hang Seng Bank” for marketing the Plan. The current remuneration system that “Hang Seng Bank” adopts is a measurement of the staff’s overall performance instead of focusing on sales production only.
