After logging on Hang Seng Mobile App, simply tap "Deposits" on the home screen to access Deposit Overview.

It is the total sum of deposits shown in HKD equivalent across your sole-named and joint-named accounts, for reference, which includes:

  • Savings, current and time deposit accounts (including call deposit accounts, but excluding time deposit accounts set up for Capital Protected Investment (CPI) deposits)
  • All currencies: HKD, CNY and other foreign currencies (except SGD)

Please note ledger balance may include cheques deposited into the account that haven’t yet cleared for withdrawal and other incoming payments not yet reflected in your available balance. To see the actual amount you can use, check the available balance on the details page for each account.

This is because your Total deposits amount is based on your ledger balance, not your available balance.

The ledger balance may include cheques being processed but not yet cleared for withdrawal and other incoming payments not yet reflected in your available balance.

To see the actual amount you can use, check the available balance on each account’s details page.

We include deposits held in the following currencies:

HKD, USD, CNY, AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, JPY, NZD, THB, ZAR.

Amounts are shown in HKD equivalent for reference only. We convert your deposits in different currencies into HKD using our reference exchange rate at the time shown on the page.

Your "Balance change" is the difference between two things:

  • The balance of your selected currency in the month you've chosen
  • The balance from a past period you've selected under "Compare the balance with past records", i.e. your deposit balance at the end of the last 4 quarters (Mar, Jun, Sep and Dec), with the most recent quarter as the default comparison point

Yes. The "Total deposits" calculation includes the full balances from any joint-named accounts you hold.

You may not be able to see the Deposit Overview due to one of the following reasons:

  • You don't currently have a deposit account with us; or
  • You haven't enabled your online access for your account. Please log on to Personal e-Banking and go to "Settings" > "My profile settings" > "Account List and maintain e-Statement / e-Advice" to update your account's online access settings to include all deposit accounts

You may not have a deposit balance in the selected currency for that period, or the currency account may not be activated.
