You can repay by monthly instalment at a monthly handling fee as low as 0.18% (APR as low as 3.76%)1. Monthly repayment will be billed to your bank credit card account and you can settle together with other retail spending transactions in credit card statement.

Mr. Lau is planning to decorate his home for his family of three but short of cash. His budget is around HKD 100,000 and his personalized monthly handling fee is 0.18%. He wishes to repay less than HKD 2,000 per month to soothe his financial burden, so he chooses to repay in 60 months.

= (Cash out amount ÷ Repayment period) + Monthly handling fee

= (HKD 100,000 ÷ 60) + (HKD 100,000 x 0.18%)

= HKD 1,846.67

Yes, it is fixed in each and every month during the repayment period of credit card instalment.

If your cash out amount exceed the pre-approved amount, you have to submit income proof for review. Please submit the relevant supporting document within 3 working days after application via any of the following channels:

  • Upload via Online document submission
  • Upload via Hang Seng Mobile App: Menu > Cards > Document Submission
  • Fax to (852) 2269 3096 (Please write your credit card number on the top right corner of the relevant documents)

  1. The 0.18% monthly handling fee is applicable to selected customers and the approved cash instalment amount has to reach the specific requirement, and is for reference only. The handling fee is to be determined by Hang Seng from time to time for individual promotion. The annualized percentage rate (APR) of 0.18% monthly handling fee are as follows: 3.76% for 6 months, 4.04% for 12 months, 4.18% for 24 months, 4.20% for 36 months, 4.20% for 48 months, 4.19% for 60 months.The APR is calculated based on the requirement of the Code of Banking Practice. APR is a reference rate which expresses the fees and charges of respective product as an annualized rate. 
  2. Applicable to selected customers only. For details, please refer to Terms & Conditions for Interested-free Cash Instalment plan clause 1 & 4. 
  3. Specific approved cash instalment amount and repayment period of 12 months or above is required. Enjoy up to HKD500 handling fee rebate upon successful application. Apply online to enjoy up to extra HKD300 handling fee rebate. 
  4. The above example is for reference only, for the actual monthly repayment amount, please refer to monthly statement.
  5. If you fail to make full repayment of the statement balance specified in your credit card account statement on or before the payment due date of each month, you shall pay a finance charge and other charges on any monthly instalment amount due but unpaid at the prevailing interest rate applicable to your credit card account from the post date of such monthly instalment.
