Keep up with important account updates on your device easily! Just enable push notification in Hang Seng Mobile App to help manage your account better. 

Key features

When there are updates to your account, you'll receive push notifications for:

  • inward or outward FPS transfers
  • ATM cash withdrawal
  • latest e-Statement / e-Advice is ready for access
  • "Card-not-present" transactions
  • credit card due repayment and limit usage reminders
  • investment funds, FX and other investments
  • time deposit renewal and maturity

All banking messages will be stored in the mobile app for 180 days. You can view the messages in “Message centre” via Hang Seng Mobile App.

General questions

Push Notification is an optional service offered for free. However, data charges (including roaming charges) imposed by your mobile service provider may apply, please consult your mobile service provider for details.

To better protect your account, you can enable push notifications on one device only.

Banking messages received will be kept for 180 days, messages about promotions for 60 days and latest news for 30 days. 

Simply install and log on to Hang Seng Mobile App using your new mobile device. Follow the steps on screen and proceed to switching the service to your new device. Then you’re all set and you can receive push notifications again.

Alternatively, you can visit “Settings & Security” > "Notifications" > “Push Notification” to do the same.

Don’t worry, you can view your messages in "Message centre" as long as you've logged on to Hang Seng Mobile App.

Yes. You can log on to Hang Seng Mobile App and tap “Settings & Security” > "Notifications" > “Push Notification” to disable the service.

You may not be able to receive push notifications due to network problems or inadequate device settings.

You are recommended to check the following:

  • Push Notification service has been enabled
  • Your mobile device is connected to a stable WiFi / mobile data network
  • Device notification of your mobile device has been turned on

Other point(s) to note

  1. To receive push notifications successfully, you'll need to enable “Notifications” on your mobile device and ensure a stable mobile or Wi-Fi network connection.
  2. For security reasons, each Personal e-Banking customer can receive push notifications via 1 mobile device only.
  3. You must confirm successful installation of the Hang Seng Mobile App on your mobile device to receive push notifications. Push Notification service won't be available to you if Hang Seng Mobile App isn't installed.
  4. You're recommended not to share your mobile device with others as push notifications will be sent to your designated device. You're responsible for ensuring your mobile device is enabled with auto-lock and passcode lock to prevent unauthorised third-party access to message content.
  5. If you successfully opted in for Push Notification services, we'll replace SMS and/or email by push notification and/or email to send notifications regarding your account, credit card, investment and other kinds of notifications as deemed appropriate. We'll also send SMS to your registered mobile number in certain cases.
  6. If you wish to receive push notifications whilst you're overseas, please check whether you've enabled data roaming. You're responsible for any fees and charges arising from internet connection (whether local or international).
  7. You're recommended to allow Hang Seng Mobile App to send you immediate notifications. Adding Hang Seng Mobile App into scheduled summary may cause delay in the display of messages, which is beyond our control.
  8. Push Notification runs on the service provided by Apple Inc. ("Apple") or Google Inc. ("Google"). Any delays or failure in delivery of messages due to Apple's or Google's service is beyond our control.
  9. Please note that Android users may be unable to receive push notifications due to limitations on Google services in some countries or regions.
