Personal Accident Insurance Plan (“Personal Accident Insurance”) provides all-inclusive personal accident insurance coverage, including traffic accident coverage, accidental medical and bonesetting benefits, worldwide personal liability coverage etc. 30% no-claims cash refund benefit is also available in the event of no claim being made or arising under this policy for a period of 5 consecutive years.

Yes, housewives or retired persons aged between 18 and 59 can enrol in this Personal Accident Insurance.

The age of the proposer and spouse must be between 18 and 70.

Except for students studying abroad, any students aged between 18 and 59 and with Hong Kong as their place of permanent residence can apply for this Personal Accident Insurance independently.

The plan provides a daily 24-hour worldwide coverage for personal accident without any regional and temporal restrictions. However, applicant must be Hong Kong resident(s) permanently living, working or studying in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Yes, provided that you have declared the matter at the time of taking out the policy or afterwards.

If there is a change in the nature of your work (for instance, a non-manual worker becomes a taxi-driver), you should immediately notify QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited. The policy will continue to be valid only after acceptance by QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited.

If you do not make a claim for five consecutive years, you will receive a cash refund equals to 30% of the total paid premium as a bonus.

‘Policy Review Period’ means the Insured will be entitled to review the personal accident insurance policy within 15 days after receipt of the policy. For any reason he / she is not satisfied, simply return it with a written notice within 15 days after receipt of the policy. The policy will be cancelled and any premium already paid will be refunded if you have not made a claim.

No, your policy will be automatically renewed on a yearly basis until you reach the age of 80.

It is not an accident as the malaria transmitted through mosquitoes and pests are caused by virus. Any disease, even though, contracted accidentally, is not covered.

If you are not working as white collars or in occupations without special risks, the 'Occupational Accident Exclusion' would be endorsed by QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited. Therefore, it depends on individual customer's policy to determine whether he/she is under protection.

In respect of an eligible dispute arising between the Hang Seng Bank Limited and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, Hang Seng Bank Limited is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the product should be resolved directly between QBE General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited and the customer.
