As initiated and sponsored by the Hong Kong Government, the 18-month Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme (GBA YES) encourages and supports young talents to pursue their careers across the Greater Bay Area. Hang Seng Bank is honorable to join hands with the Hong Kong Government to offer 18-month full-time opportunities for 2019 - 2021 Graduates with range of regional exposures at Hang Seng Bank’s strategic locations in the Greater Bay Area.

We are currently seeking high-calibre individuals to join us as GBA Associate for our digital / non-digital positions in following line of businesses / functions:

  • Commercial Banking
  • Strategic Planning and Corporate Development
  • Wealth and Personal Banking

Individuals in digital positions are required to station in GBA Mainland cities for at least 9 months whereas those in non-digital positions are required to do so for most of the time throughout the programme.


  • Participate in digital and Fintech project planning activities, including progress tracking, budget monitoring and quality management
  • Engage with digital team, IT department and external vendors to formulate and implement digital strategies
  • Conduct in-depth research on the latest Fintech and market development trend
  • Prepare project documents, management reports, quality procedures and project plans by adopting the Bank’s project methodologies and agile ways of working


  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to assess project requirements and system / process design, testing and training
  • Prepare project documents, management reports and project plans by adopting the Bank’s policies and procedures
  • Conduct business research and analysis
  • Collaborate with the Bank’s relevant Hong Kong and mainland China teams to implement and track GBA related strategies and initiatives


  • 2019 – 2021 graduates with bachelor’s degree or above awarded locally or overseas
  • Hong Kong residents with the right of abode in Hong Kong
  • Able to communicate effectively, embrace changes and overcome challenges with the ability to safeguard positive attitude under challenging situations and remain open-minded to work with others from diverse cultures
  • Able to bring divergent ideas to create new and innovative solutions

  • Proficient in English and Chinese

Principal responsibilities

  • provide quality customer service to our retail customers in branch network
  • proactively identify customer needs and offer appropriate banking services and solutions

  • university degree or associate degree holders, fresh graduates are welcome
  • HKCEE/ HKDSE holders with at least one year of working experience, preferably in customer facing role
  • relevant professional qualification in insurance and investment is an advantage

Successful candidates will undergo a one-year career development programme consisting of training and job attachment to build your professional knowledge of secured loans business, customer relationship management skills and selling techniques. After the programme, you will be placed to our Mortgage Sales team, responsible for promoting mortgage and secured loans products, as well as cross-selling other financial products and services to our customers.

  • provide quality phone banking services to different types of customer
  • process customer requests in a professional manner
  • handle customer opinion/ feedback timely to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • keep abreast of the banking knowledge and meet the compliance/ regulatory requirements


  • diploma or degree holder or HKCEE/ HKDSE holders with relevant working experience
  • strong customer service orientation, with good communication and phone skills
  • willing to share ideas with colleagues and enjoy teamwork
  • driven to learn for growth in the banking industry
  • willing to work flexi-hours
  • proficiency in both English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage
