Everyone wants to be blessed with health. Yet, accidents and diseases do emerge out of the blue. SurgicalGuard II Refundable Life Insurance Plan provides you Surgical Cash Benefit to prepare for the unexpected, and brings you a guaranteed 103% refund of the Total Premium Paid at the end of the 15 years Policy Term if the policy remains in force.

Key features

If the policy remains in force, 103% refund of the total premiums paid is payable upon policy maturity, even if any claim has been made on the Surgical Cash Benefit. In this way, you can enjoy protection while accumulating wealth at the same time.

A lump sum payment will be paid as the Surgical Cash Benefit to the Life Insured if he or she has to undergo a Surgical Procedure or Operation in a Hospital within the Benefit Areaduring a period of Hospital Confinement due to Injury, Disease or Illness. A Cumulative Maximum Amount of HKD240,000 is payable per policy.

The double Surgical Cash Benefit will be payable to the Life Insured if the sole purpose of the Surgical Procedure or Operation during a Hospital Confinement is the cure or relief of Cancer, Heart Attack or Stroke.

Only open for enrolment by selected customers, without any requirement for medical proof or medical checkup at all.

The Insured Person will enjoy the Surgical Cash Benefit for 15 years upon payment of premiums for only 10 years.

The SurgicalGuard II Refundable Life Insurance Plan (“the Plan”) is underwritten by Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Insurance Authority of the HKSAR. Hang Seng Bank is an insurance agent authorised by Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited and the product is a product of Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited, not Hang Seng Bank.
  2. In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between Hang Seng Bank and you out of the selling process or processing of the related insurance product transaction, Hang Seng Bank will enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with you; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the insurance products should be resolved between Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited and you directly.

The premium includes various fees and charges such as insurance cost (e.g. cost of death benefit determined formulated according to the mortality rate that is affected by sex and age of the insured person) and policy administration charges, etc. You also understand that Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited will pay commissions and sales incentives to “Hang Seng Bank” for marketing this Plan. The current remuneration system that “Hang Seng Bank” adopts is a measurement of the staff’s overall performance instead of focusing on sales production only.
