Yes. Every time you block or unblock a card, it will take effect immediately.

The following transactions / functions will be blocked:

  • Card present transactions (non-small salue)
  • Online transaction
  • eWallet transaction
  • Bill payments
  • Recurring automatic merchant payments
  • ATM transactions and related functions

The following transactions / functions will not be blocked:

  • Octopus Automatic Add Value Service
  • Fully redeemed +FUN Dollars transactions
  • Certain small value payWave/contactless payment transactions
  • Bank fees and charges

Primary User(s) of Hang Seng Business e-Banking only. 

All active Hang Seng Commercial Credit Cards that have been added to your Hang Seng e-Banking profile can be blocked or unblocked.

The block/unblock function is available to HKD Commercial World Mastercard, enJoy VISA Commercial Card, Visa Platinum Commercial Card and UnionPay Renminbi Diamond Commercial Card.

There are no limits to how many times you can block or unblock your card. You can do so whenever you need to.

Yes, you can unblock your card anytime. Upon unblocking, all transactions are resumed normal with your card.

No, you should immediately call our 24-hour Report Lost Card Hotline at (852) 2836 0838 to report a lost or stolen credit card or unauthorized transactions. 

Your card might be under inactive status. Please call our hotline (852) 2998 8222 for enquiry.
