Hong Kong Investor Identification Regime (HKIDR) and Over-the-counter Securities Transactions Reporting Regime (OTCR)

The Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) has introduced the Investor Identification Regime (“HKIDR”) at trading level for the securities market in Hong Kong and an Over-The-Counter Securities Transactions Reporting Regime (“OTCR”) for shares listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK).   1. For online Securities Services under Business e-Banking, please note no maximum daily limit will be applied to the transactions of Securities Account(s). Primary User(s) may singly give instructions, enter into transactions with, and operate this/these account(s). Please contact our Relationship Manager or call the 24-hour Business Partner Direct on 2198 8000 for details.
  2. Stock Connect Northbound Trading securities have limit order type only.
  3. With effect from 22 July 2018, customers have to register their mobile phone number(s) of their primary user(s) with Hang Seng Business e-Banking in order to use online investment services. The Bank will provide Instant Order Confirmation via Short Message Service (SMS) and / or email to the primary user(s) of the securities account registered for securities trading services with Hang Seng Business e-Banking. Customers are responsible for any fees and charges which may be levied by the relevant telecom company from time to time.
  4. Starting from 14 November 2025,  the Bank offers unlimited free real-time quote service for HK stocks and A shares. No fees will be charged.
  5. The Bank will have absolute discretion to prescribe and change the type of stocks and the respective overdraft limit.
